PigScan is operated by Gabriel Andrada ("we", "us"), who acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — email address, login credentials (managed by our auth provider).
- Content you upload — photos of animals and herd videos you submit for analysis.
- Usage and telemetry — scan counts, ratings, feature usage, approximate country (for localization).
- Support messages — when you contact us.
- Device data — IP address, browser and device identifiers, cookies.
Payment data (card numbers, billing address) is collected directly by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and is not stored by us.
2. Purposes and legal basis
- Creating and managing your account, and providing the Service — contract performance.
- Processing your uploads with AI models to generate results — contract performance.
- Security, fraud prevention, and enforcing plan limits — legitimate interests.
- Product improvement and aggregated statistics — legitimate interests.
- Customer support — contract performance / legitimate interests.
- Service and billing notifications — contract performance / legal obligation.
- Marketing emails, only where you have opted in — consent (you may withdraw at any time).
3. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors — cloud hosting, database and authentication (Supabase), and AI model providers that process your uploads to generate results.
- Paddle (Merchant of Record) — for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where needed.
- Authorities — where required by law.
4. International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country (including outside the UK/EEA). Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
5. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
6. Your rights
Depending on your country, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. 7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and row-level security on user data.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies (authentication, session) and limited analytics storage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working.
